Segmented Downloading

SmartFTP Pro has limited support for segmented transfers. You will need to toggle settings per each transfer (there are no options to enable it for global transfers in the program settings).

Once connected to FTP or SFTP, click the red Stop icon in the Transfer Queue pane.

Add a file to the Transfer Queue (you can right-click a file and select "Download" to download a file and add it to the Transfer Queue), but do not start the job.

In the Transfer Queue pane, increase the number of Workers to at least 10.

Right-click the transfer in the transfer queue and select Properties.

Go to the Advanced tab and check "Enable" for "Multi Part Transfers (Downloads)".

Change the number of workers to 10

Click OK to finish.

Start the transfer queue by clicking the blue Start icon (looks like a play button). If, by accident, the transfer was already running when you changed the properties, you’ll need to stop and restart it.
